Talk Title: Truly Integrated Design and Engineering
Talk Abstract: Piaggio Fast Forward was founded in 2015 by the Piaggio Group to develop lightweight mobility platforms that move people and goods better, faster, and more efficiently. Drawing upon Piaggio’s 130 years of expertise, Piaggio Fast Forward emerged from a design philosophy that is aligned with the performance, structure, mechanism, behavior, and identity of their products.
An integrated approach to product development calls for a cohesive design and engineering process. The PFF team is a conglomerate of multi-disciplinary backgrounds and skills, it works closely together, learns from one another, and encourages constructive tension. A strong collaborative nature translates from leadership, to the design and engineering process, to the tools that enable synergy across the entire team, within the office and across the country.
